AGAINST PERSECUTION

"The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern." – Prov 29:7

"Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts." – Amos 5:15

"This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the alien or the poor.'" – Zec 7:9,10

AGAINST POVERTY...FOR HEALTH

"...there should be no poor among you,...do not be hardhearted or tightfisted toward your poor brother. Rather be openhanded..." – Deut 15:4a,7b

"He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honours God." – Prov 14:31

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy." – Prov 31:8,9

Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. – James 2:15-17

In each aspect of Gospel for Asia’s ministry, the primary aim is to plant churches among the unreached – those who have never heard the Gospel.
